human centered manufactoring
The production world is in a digital turmoil. High speed network communication, data mining and cloud connectivity changes manufacturing and the organization of production dramatically. Everywhere a lot of thinking and doing is going into the optimization of machines and automated production flows.
How do fit human workers into that scenario…
We think a lot about human workers and their tasks as an integral part of a modern manufacturing landscape. To achieve this, a more human centered 21st century digital production environment has to be developed. To achieve this, it is key to understand human cognition and perception in multistage, highly demanding manufacturing processes to design a better human centered production flow. New technologies just emerging now are allowing to build sophisticated smart glasses as an assistant working tool for this 21st century production. To train people efficiently and comfortable, to document and quality-ensure certain production steps on the fly with a gaze is a first step.
Beyond that to provide data on the spot and situative-selected with a smooth cognition is a major second step towards a full digital data flow integration of human workers into the digital data production framework.
